Canada's progressive trade agenda
Hugh Stephens, associate faculty member in the School of Business has just published an article in OpenCanada, a Canadian based online publication, on Canada's progressive trade strategy.
The article is based on Canada’s active pursuit of its “progressive trade agenda” in dealings with China and Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) partners, as well as the recent setbacks in its agenda due to lack of understanding and acceptance of Canada's progressive agenda, combined with clumsy negotiating tactic. The article looks at the "progressive trade agenda", explains its background and rationale and asks whether Canada is going about pursuing its progressive objectives in the right way, and the what the eventual cost may be of this approach.
